It is the responsibility of educational institutions, as data controllers, to obtain consent from parents or guardians for apps such as Showbie to be used in their classroom. We provide this parental permission template to help gain parental consent; however, it is up to educational institutions to determine how to best use it, to personalize it, and to share it with parents. 

Showbie has provided educational institutions with a summary of our data processing activities: what data is being collected, how it is being stored, security measures in place to encrypt/anonymize data, third party access to data, and how data is being used.
