So you’ve made something great in Showbie – or maybe a student has done exceptional work and now you want other people to see it too. We want to help you do that so we’ve built a way for you to share any work you have in Showbie!

Sharing on iOS

  • Navigate to the desired file

  • Look for the export button either by swiping left on a file in a folder/group or by opening the file and tapping on the export button in the toolbar

  • Choose how you’d like to share the file – the details for both options are explained below

Looking for a specific file in Showbie? If so, you can also use your iOS device’s built-in search feature to find files posted within a Class Discussion or Assignment.

Sharing on the Web

  • On the web, the export button can be found in the ellipsis icon on the file or by opening the file and tapping on the export button in the toolbar

  • Choose how you’d like to share the file – the details for both options are explained below

Make a Copy

Create a copy of the file for another folder or group in Showbie – great for situations like when you want to show a student’s work with the rest of the class.

Before copying the file, you can:

  • Rename the file

  • Select whose annotations will be included

  • Choose where you would like the copy to be made

Press the Copy button and you’ll have an exact copy of the file!

Send to Another App/Download

After choosing whose annotations you’d like to be included in the export, tap the Send/Download button to fire away your file 🚀

How do pinned comments and voice notes look in other apps?

It depends on the app you’re using to open your work! Apps handle pinned comments and voice notes differently so please be aware that the app you use may not handle your work the exact same way Showbie does.

Most PDF readers are not able to display pinned comments or voice notes on documents downloaded from Showbie.
