Sending an invitation is how you join your teachers to your school in Showbie!

Sending an invitation is how you join your teachers to your school in Showbie. Use this guide to learn how to invite new or existing Showbie teachers to your school.

Once you invite your teachers, an email will be sent inviting them to join your school in Showbie. Teachers new to Showbie will be walked through the account creation process while teachers with existing* Showbie accounts will be able to join your school by simply clicking the link! Invites can be sent, re-sent individually, or sent/re-sent in batches.

Inviting New Teachers

Teachers can be invited using the “Invite Teachers” button on the home page or using the “Add” button on the Teachers tab

  1. Navigate to the home page or the Teachers tab.

  2. Click on "Invite Teachers."

  3. Enter the email address(es) of the teacher(s) you wish to invite, separating multiple addresses with commas.

  4. Click "Send Invite(s)."

  5. A confirmation message will pop up letting you know the invitation(s) were sent!

Inviting Teachers within your District to your School

Transferring Teachers

If a teacher has already been using Showbie at another school within your District, Kommune, or Trust - once invited to your school, they will receive an email inviting them to fill out a Transfer Request form. The teacher should complete the Transfer Request form received via email. Then:

Coordination with Previous School

  • Our Customer Experience team will contact the Admin at the teacher's previous school to coordinate the transfer and appointment of co-teachers of any active classes.

  • The Admin at the previous school has 5 days to respond.

Preparation by Transferring Teacher

  • During this process, the transferring teacher is encouraged to make copies or download any necessary materials from their previous school as in order to maintain student privacy, they will lose access to active classes with co-teachers from their previous school.

Completion of Transfer

  • Upon confirmation from the previous school's admin, the teacher will be removed from all active classes there and the teacher will be added to your school's Admin Dashboard.

If our team does not receive a response from the previous school's admin within 5 days

  • The teacher will be removed from any active classes at the previous school

  • The transfer request will be completed

Transferring Teachers outside of your District

If a teacher has already been using Showbie at another school outside of your District, Kommune, or Trust, they cannot be transferred. You will be able to invite them to join your school using their new school email address.

  • They will need to create a new Showbie account and will be unable to use the account associated with their previous school.
