NOTE: This article describes allowing services for users who login to the EU data region. Schools that are hosted in the Global data centre should reference the Allowing Showbie Services (Global) page instead.
One of the common reasons that Showbie appears to be down or unavailable is that there is website blocking within the classroom or Wifi environment. Showbie is a secure service (https) and requires domains be added to the allowedlist in most Wifi environments that have content restrictions in place.
Here is a listing of email domains and websites used to operate Showbie that should be added to your allowlist by your IT administrator.
