Student FAQs

Will all my data be migrating?

  • Only student content in active classes will be migrated

What about my portfolio items in archived classes?

  • No student content in archived classes will be migrated, so student portfolio work from archived classes will disappear

  • We recommend students download any portfolio content they want to keep from old classes prior to the migration

Will I lose access to any classes or groups?

  • If you are a member of a class or group outside of your school whose data is not hosted in the EU, you will no longer be able to access that class or group.

Parent FAQs

Will my account be migrated?

  • All parents attached to at least one migrating student will be migrated

What if I have more than one student in Showbie?

  • Showbie accounts will only be able to access data from their host region

  • If you are attached to one or more students in the global region, as well as a student whose data will be migrated to the EU, you need to have two separate Showbie accounts - one for each region

  • Our recommendation is to create another Showbie account using an email alias

What if I don’t want my account to be migrated?

  • Parents who do not want their account migrated will have to remove the migrating student from their account

Will I lose access to any groups?

  • If you are a member of a class or group outside of your school whose data is not hosted in the EU, you will no longer be able to access that class or group.
