There are many different ways to import an Assessment into your Showbie account. Use the guide below to find information on each of these methods:
Copy-Paste Questions (AI assisted)
Copy-Paste Questions allows you to copy text from pre-existing resources, such as a PDF documents or other outside apps, and convert it into a fully formatted Showbie assessment, ready to share with colleagues and students.
To Import from Text:
Navigate to Assessments.
Tap Add Quiz.
Select the Copy-Paste Questions option.
Copy the text you want to import.
Paste it into the AI prompt field.
Click Add.
Your assessment will be ready, including questions, options & answers.
💡 The answers designated should be correct, but remember to double-check against your answer key!
Extract Questions From Document (AI assisted)
Extract questions allows you to upload files that contain questions, such as quizzes, worksheets, test banks, and convert it into a fully formatted Showbie assessment, ready to share with colleagues and students.
Navigate to Assessments.
Tap to Add Quiz.
Select the Extract Questions from Document option.
Upload the file
Click 'Add'.
Your assessment will be ready, including questions, options & answers.
Import via SOC Code
If another teacher/colleague shares their assessment's SOC code with you, you can easily import the assessment using the code. To enter the SOC code:
Navigate to Assessments.
Tap Add Quiz.
Tap Import Quiz.
Enter the SOC code provided.
Click Import Quiz.
Once imported, the assessment will be added directly to your Library and will be ready to use right away.
Import via Excel Template
Navigate to Assessments.
Tap Add Quiz.
Tap Import Quiz.
Download the provided Excel template.
Fill in the assessment details in the template, including question type, questions, answer choices, and correct answers.
Save the completed Excel sheet.
Upload the file via Import Quiz.
The downloaded template will look like the example below:
You can enter your quiz questions directly into the Excel template to upload to Assessments.
Enter the name of the assessment.
In the Question Type column, use the drop-down to select if the question is either “Open-ended” or “Multiple choice”.
Enter your question in the Question column.
If you selected Multiple Choice, enter the possible answer choices in the Answer columns. You can import up to 5 different multiple-choice answers for a question.
In the final columns, indicate which answer(s) are correct.
⚠️ Note: students must select all correct answers to get the question right.
🚨 If an error occurs during the import, the row containing the issue will be highlighted so you can correct it and re-import the file.
✍️ Only assessments up to 100 questions can be imported via the template. For assessments over 100 questions, we recommend splitting them into two imports and merging the assessments together once imported.
