The Showbie Certified Educator program is a self-directed, online course designed for educators using Showbie to support teaching and learning.

Backed by pedagogy and our experienced team of educators, we’ve curated a comprehensive training program to enhance teaching and learning, empower you to teach your best lesson, and engage every student more effectively.

Combining a comprehensive suite of tutorial and explainer videos, downloadable content, and reference resources, this course is intended to complement professional development for educators interested in developing skills, and boosting their teaching practice with technology.

SCE is ideal for educators who will be using the Showbie platform to support teaching and learning in class.

Whether you’re a new Showbie user, you’ve been using the platform for a while, or you completed an earlier version of the Showbie Certified Educator program, the course will be a solid starting point or refresher to boost your confidence and practical skills so you can make the most of Showbie.

We use an external platform called Thinkific to deliver the course. You’ll need to sign up with your school email, and from there you’ll have access to the course, content and quizzes.

Bonus: once you’ve signed up on Thinkific, you’ll be able to revisit the materials anytime, access downloadable content, as well as supplementary resources to help you go deeper in your learning.

There is no cost to you or your team to register for the Showbie Certified Educator program.

We know time is hard to come by, so we designed the SCE course to be self-paced. You can complete it all in one go, or over a few sessions when time permits.

Depending on your pace and familiarity with the Showbie platform, we anticipate setting aside between 2.5 and 3.5 hours to complete the full program.

Developed by a team of experienced educators and Showbie experts, the SCE course will provide a foundation for effective use of the Showbie platform. This course combines a comprehensive technical tutorial with practical guidance on research-backed workflows built into the Showbie platform.

Lessons will introduce users to the basics of configuring and managing their learning environment, and practical tips to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of using digital tools alongside your workflow.

Course content will also provide educators with insights into the pedagogical underpinning of essential features and workflows supporting instruction and adapted teaching, facilitating independent practice, providing actionable feedback, embedding assessment into your daily teaching, and using Showbie to engage your learning community.

Once you complete the Showbie Certified Educator program, you’ll be able to download a certificate of completion that you can display in your class, post on social media, or share with your school leadership.
