This article covers using class and community codes safely to keep your classes secure.
🚨Always make sure to share your class and community codes privately. Please do not share your codes on public websites, social media, or newsletters.
To change your class join settings
To control how students join your class:
Open the class.
Tap the Settings icon.
Select Class Code.
Choose By Approval or Closed.
Tap Save.
How to change your community join settings
Open the community.
Tap the three dots (…) in the top right.
Select Community Info.
Tap Community Settings.
Change Registration to By Approval or Closed.
Tap Save.
How to block a student from a class
If someone joins your class who should not be there, you can block them.
Open the class.
Tap the Settings icon.
Select Members.
Tap the student’s name.
Select Block from Class.
Blocking the student from your class will make it so they cannot enter the class with your class by using the class code in your account. You can always unblock them later if needed.
How to block someone from a community
If someone joins your community who should not be there, you can block them.
Open Communities.
Select the community from the list.
Tap the Person icon in the top right.
Select Community Members.
Find the person’s name and tap it.
Select Block from Community.
💡 If you need to unblock a student after they have been blocked, you can go back to Community Members, tap on Show Blocked, and tap on their name, then select to unblock them.
