Showbie’s AI Insights helps you understand student performance by turning raw quiz data into clear, actionable analysis. Instead of scanning through percentages and tables, you’ll receive a simple breakdown of common misconceptions and suggested next steps.

AI Insights works directly on any completed quiz report, with no extra setup required.

Generating Insights from Results

Teachers receive valuable data in their Assessment reports, but interpreting that information can take time, especially in subjects where errors are based on reasoning rather than calculation. Insights goes beyond showing what happened and helps guide what to do next.

AI Insights helps you:

  • Quickly identify where students are struggling and why

  • Save time by reducing manual analysis

  • Turn results into actionable next steps

  • Support data-driven instruction without needing data expertise

Common uses include:

  • Spotting misconceptions with AI highlighted patterns.

  • Guiding reteaching with the included suggestions to help clarify concepts.

  • Planning personalized student interventions.

How to Generate Insights

How to Generate Insights

  • Open your quiz report

  • Click Analyze Report
    Select Analyze Report at the top of the results table.

  • The data will be processed and your students’ Areas of Improvement will be displayed, including:

    • A description of the misconception or skill gap

    • The related question(s)

    • The number of students impacted

    • Suggested teaching tips

When No Insights Are Found

You may see a “No Insights Found” message when:

  • All students scored 100%

  • Insights were already generated and no new grading changes were made

✍️If you update any scores, especially for short answers, you can re-run Analyze Report to generate new insights.

Generating Questions From Insights

The Generate Questions from Insights feature allows you to turn Insights into ready-to-use follow-up assessments. These questions reinforce learning and help close the loop between review and instruction.

Common reasons for teachers to generate questions from AI Insights:

  • Target Reteach Activities with short assessment that focus on the misconceptions surfaced in Insights.

  • Provide Individualized Intervention to specific students when generating personalized practice based on the areas they struggled with.

  • Utilize Exit Tickets or Warm-Ups to reinforce concepts from the previous lesson.

How to Generate Questions from Insights

Teachers can generate questions based on:

  • Areas of Improvement

  • Specific Students

To Generate Questions,

  1. Click 'Generate Questions' Below your Areas of Improvement, select Generate Questions; You’ll be prompted to choose whether to generate questions from:

  • Areas of Improvement: Choose which insights you want the assessment to target. You can select one or multiple areas.

  • Specific Students: Choose the students you want to support.

2. Choose the Number of Questions: Assessments automatically distributes questions to target the largest gaps first.

3. Review and Edit Questions

  • Edit the questions
    Opens the Quiz Editor with an auto-generated quiz name.

  • Save the questions
    Save them directly to your library.

🚨AI-generated questions may contain mistakes, so consider reviewing for accuracy.
