Using the Class List in the Admin Dashboard
Looking for an easy way to keep track of your Showbie classes and the members within each class? The Class List in the Admin Dashboard is here to help! With the Class List, you can quickly view all active classes associated with your school in one place and select any class to see who is teaching it and which students are enrolled.
What You Can View
You can view a complete list of all classes connected to your school, along with details such as:
Class name
Copyable class code
Number of teachers and teacher member information
Number of students* and student member information
School associations for teacher and student members
*Note: The number of students does not include those that are pending approval. Once they are approved by a teacher in the class, they will be included in the count.
You can sort the Class List by:
Class name
Number of teachers
Number of students
You can also use the search bar to find a specific class by entering the class name or class code, or filter classes by their organization association.
Class Overview
Select any class to see the Class Overview, which will allow you to view class members, and quickly jump to student or teacher profiles, allowing you to investigate enrollment issues quickly and easily.
Understanding School Associations
When viewing the Teachers or Students members in a class, you’ll see the school associations for each class member.
School Name: The school name (and district, if applicable) will appear if the class member is connected to your school or another school within your district.
No School: This means that the class member is not currently joined to a school.
If the teachers is part of your school, send them an invitation to join your school. This will ensure the classes they create are associated to your school as well.
If the student is part of your school, request a student connection to your school through an Import Services request. Generally, students are connected to schools when they are approved in their first class, however, no connection is made if the class association is not correct or there are co-teachers from different schools joined to the class.
External: This indicates that the class member belongs to an organization outside of your school or district. If necessary, contact the class teacher for more information or use the Auditor account to block members from the class.
💡 Classes are associated with your school when they are created by a teacher joined to your school. If a teacher does not appear in your Teachers list, they should first accept their invitation to join your school before creating classes. Otherwise, any classes created before the teacher is connected to the school will not be associated with your school.
