Curriculum Libraries create a scalable foundation for school, trust, or district-wide curriculum that enhances consistency and quality using shared curriculum, while reducing teacher effort in translating these resources into classroom-ready lessons.
While Personal Libraries provide individual teachers with a workspace to organise their own unique classroom materials, Curriculum Libraries enable school or trust learning teams to centrally manage and share curriculum content across multiple teachers.
With Curriculum Libraries, schools can:
Centralize curriculum delivery in the place where lesson delivery is happening.
Allow learning leads to curate consistent, high-quality resources.
Encourage teacher collaboration and consolidate resources, reducing planning silos and duplication of effort.
💡 Curriculum Libraries are available exclusively on the web with Showbie Insights. If your school or district is interested in accessing Curriculum Libraries, ask your Showbie Administrators to contact their Account Manager to learn more!
Before Using Curriculum Libraries
Curriculum Libraries require initial setup by your Showbie Admins or school leadership team. This involves deciding on a library structure and rollout strategy, identifying who will manage and update its content, assigning staff access and permissions, and planning how the library will be shared with teachers.
If you are responsible for planning or requesting a new Curriculum Library, see Setting Up Curriculum Libraries. Once your library has been created and you have been given access, continue below to learn how to use it as a Viewer or Editor.
Understanding Library Roles & Permissions
A Curriculum Library offers two role types, Viewer and Editor, each with its own set of permissions and capabilities:
