Showbie Assessments is included with every Showbie plan, and you don't need a Socrative account to use it. If you've built quizzes in Socrative, you can copy them into Showbie using each quiz's SOC code. The original stays in Socrative, and a copy is added to your Showbie Assessments library, ready to use.
✍️ Socrative and Showbie Assessments are separate platforms with separate libraries. Importing creates a copy, so changes made in one won't appear in the other.
Before you start
Make sure you can sign in to both your Socrative account and your Showbie account. If you used a personal email address for Socrative, sign in with that one.
Have both open side by side (two browser tabs works well!) so you can copy and paste codes quickly.
Step 1: Get the SOC code from Socrative
Sign in to Socrative and go to Library.
Click the name of the quiz you want to move.
Click Share near the top-right corner.
Make sure Enable Sharing is toggled on (green = on).
Copy the SOC code shown.
🚨Quizzes in a Shared Library don't have a SOC code. To move one, first copy it into your Personal Library in Socrative (see Copy a Quiz), then follow the steps above.
Step 2: Import the quiz into Showbie Assessments
Sign in to Showbie and open Assessments.
Tap Add Quiz.
Tap Import Quiz.
Paste the SOC code you copied from Socrative.
Click Import Quiz.
The quiz is added straight to your Assessments Library and is ready to use. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for each quiz you want to bring over.
Step 3: Check and organize
Open the imported quiz and check the questions, answer options and correct answers.
Move it into a folder or a Shared Library so that colleagues can use it. See Assessment Libraries and Creating, Managing and Organizing Assessment Folders.
When you're ready, add it to an assignment and launch it. See Launching an Assessment.
Other ways to bring in quizzes
If you have quizzes outside Socrative (documents, worksheets, test banks), you can also import them with Copy-Paste Questions, Extract Questions from Document, or the Excel template. See Importing an Assessment.

Do I need a Socrative subscription to use Assessments in Showbie?
No. Assessments is included in every Showbie plan. See the Assessments FAQ.
My Socrative subscription has expired and I can't reach my quizzes. What can I do?
On Socrative's free plan you can only see your 5 most recent quizzes. Ask your school or trust administrator to contact licenses@showbie.com, and we'll talk through the options for getting your quizzes into Showbie.
We have a lot of quizzes in Socrative. Can you move them for us?
The steps above let any teacher move their own quizzes for free. If your organisation would rather we do it, a bulk migration service comes with a Socrative organisation subscription for Showbie customers. Contact licenses@showbie.com for details.
Will my Socrative reports and student results move too?
No. Only the quiz content is imported. Historical reports and results stay in Socrative.
