Using the Student List in the Admin Dashboard
Looking for an easy way to keep track of your Showbie Students or to update their information? The Students List in the Admin Dashboard is here to help! In the Student List you can easily see all of the students in classes at your school. Here you can also view:
Student Name
Showbie Username
Student email Address (if included)
Year Group
Last Active Date*
Student Classes
*Last Active Date Indicates the date of most recent login. If it is blank, this means a student has not logged in for the last 90 days. This field may take up to 24 hours to update.
You can also update a student's first name, last name, or email address, profile photo, resend a student's email confirmation, deactivate the account, or change a student's password using the 3-dot actions menu in the student row.
💡 If a student's account was created via SSO, you will be prompted to assign them a username and password as in the image above, when resetting their password in the Admin Dashboard.
🚨 If a student is synced with a record management system, their profile information will not be editable in the Admin Dashboard.
Generate QR Codes in Student List
You have the ability to generate QR codes for your students in bulk via the 'Get QR Codes' option! You can choose to download the QR codes for all students/year groups or per year group. If all year groups are selected, the QR codes will be generated in alphabetical order.
Downloading the QR codes for all students via the Students List will enable QR Codes for all students. You will then be provided with a downloadable PDF of all Student QR codes that you can distribute to teachers and students appropriately.
QR codes also can still be enabled and downloaded per class by teacher as well.
🚨 QR codes provide direct access to student accounts and should be used with security best-practices in mind!
As students join classes created by teachers at your school in the new school year, they will appear on your dashboard. Please contact Showbie Support for any additional assistance with missing students.
Viewing Student's Classes
You can click into any student to see their classes at a glance! This gives you confidence knowing where students are placed and saves you time as this is viewable directly in the Dashboard.
To view a student's classes, simply search for the student and then click their name:
Once there, class codes for the corresponding classes can be easily viewed and copied by clicking the code.
