Showbie's Feedback Assistant is powered by AI to suggest improvements on the comments and notes written in your Feedback Summary. These suggestions are dynamic and will adjust to consider what you have written so far.
The Feedback Assistant will also automatically provide an example of how these suggestions can be applied to your feedback, which can then be used as your new Feedback Summary for immediate use or further revisions.

Improving Feedback with the Feedback Assistant
To use the Feedback Assistant, write your initial comments or notes in the Feedback Summary of an assignment and then select Improve It.
The Feedback Assistant will then provide suggestions on how the comments or notes written in your Feedback Summary can be improved. These suggestions will consider the year group and subject of the class (selected in the Class Settings), as well as the assignment's description (typed into the Assignment Settings).
Inserting Suggested Feedback Improvements
Once you have reviewed the feedback generated by the Feedback Assistant, you can use the Insert option to replace the content in your Feedback Summary. This will return you to the Feedback Summary menu where you can make further edits or additions.
📝 When inserting feedback with the Feedback Assistant, the generated content will overwrite your Feedback Summary as it was previously written.
Rephrasing Suggested Feedback
You can also rephrase the suggested feedback by selecting the rephrase option. You can rephrase the feedback up to the number of times shown in the parentheses, for example: Rephrase (3).
🔄 Rephrasing the feedback will also generate new improvement suggestions.
Enabling or Disabling the Feedback Assistant
To enable the Feedback Assistant in Showbie, your school or district will need to have a Showbie Complete subscription with AI features enabled. School or district admins can request that AI features be enabled for their Showbie Pro users by contacting their Showbie Account Manager.
When AI features are enabled on school or district subscriptions, teachers can also enable or disable the Feedback Assistant within their own accounts.
To do so, log into your teacher account and select your name or profile picture to open your profile settings. Then, navigate to Preferences and Feedback Assistant and toggle the feature on or off as needed.
If a lock icon appears next to a feature, then your school or district admins will need to request that they be enabled at the subscription level by contacting their Showbie Account Manager.
Flagging AI-Generated Content
We encourage teachers using the Feedback Assistant to flag AI-generated content that may be inaccurate so that we can work to improve future results. Selecting the Flag Icon below the generated content and then choosing Flag a Response will open a form to report any concerns.
Our team reviews each of these reports so that additional content filtering or features updates can be implemented to prevent this content from being generated again.
