With the school year ending, you might want to have a fresh set of classes with the same content. Here's how:
Steps you can take to set classes up quickly
First, Create next year’s class and then copy assignments from the old class, or even more simply, create a copy of the old class.
✍️ Copying a class will copy all assignments but not copy students!
Then, you choose whether or not to lock the assignments so that new students can’t access until you decide to unlock it for them. Students in your class will be able to see the assignments even if they're locked, but they won’t be able to access the folder or edit.
Lastly, go ahead and Archive your old class. This will remove it from your class list. You can always access it or if needed unarchive it. All of the work inside the class will be saved. Once archived, students still joined to that class will no longer be able to see the class in their Showbie account. Any items added to the portfolio will still be visible for the student even if the class is archived.
You can also choose to Delete your old class once you've archived it. Please know that deleting a class in Showbie is permanent and cannot be reversed.
